World GDP reached $110.98T in 2024. The largest region is East Asia & Pacific at $32.02T (29% of the world total), ahead of North America and Europe & Central Asia.
Global output is concentrated in a handful of regions: North America and East Asia & Pacific together account for the bulk of world GDP, while regions like South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa hold a large share of the world's population but a much smaller share of its economy.
One caveat worth keeping in mind: these figures are in current US dollars, so part of the long-run climb reflects inflation and shifting exchange rates rather than real growth alone.
